RAJBIRAJ: Two persons were killed on the spot when a bus hit a motorbike in Sitapur VDC-3 along the East-West Highway in Saptari district on Saturday morning.

The deceased have been identified as motorcyclist Sunil Nayak, 45, a resident of Naraha-4 Siraha and pillion rider Majbul Miya, 21 hailing from Kolkatta of India, the Saptari District Police Office said.

The accident occurred when an over-speeding bus of Himal Yatayat heading to Kakarbhitta from Kathmandu hit the motorbike at 1:30 am, police said, adding that the bus and its driver were taken into custody.
